18welcome Address Example

eyes wide shut ...

_____

Konrad Kowalski

Every evening, when it some head to the pillow, I run the world their thoughts , evoking memories of the past day and listening to the heartbeat, watch beneath the eyelids holiday colors and extrasensory images. That takes us Oleksiy Khoroshko. The exhibition of the artist is trying to show what we see when we close the eyelids.

first impression after entering the gallery it is a surprise. Coming to the show man expects to see the paintings, and meanwhile the only thing you can see is a blank wall. After a while in the background you hear the rhythmic music, and white areas correspond to display images. Images that are hard to call either explicitly, at first glance, evaluate.

whole receives very individual. Is this subjectivity that affects how we will receive the exhibition. To see, what Khoroshko wants to show us we need to close your eyes. Music reminiscent of measuring beat us into a state in which we see a private exhibition woven out of our visual memories. Resign from the other senses to focus on "seeing through not looking."

Oleksiy shows us everything in a novel way. Specific installation - see colors "from Eyelid" and the calm music makes watching art in nieklasyczny yet noticeably as well. Paintings, photographs, or other artistic works have an impact on our feelings through sight - here is the sense of minimizing, to even see the exhibition. However, this approach may in some way to tear down the existing opinion about the shows. Rejection of view, is here a category, without which you can not read the exhibition. In such a case in which the world moving at "watching"? Does the world still in the gallery exhibition?

watching, or feeling, we perceive an exhibition space that appears between darkness and daylight. We can no longer focus on a short time, which we do not see every day. The author opens up a wide range of view, what is invisible.

This exhibition can not be assessed. You have to feel it. You may find a person who is leaving say that what he saw, he bored or sad, but it will be only a reflection of his person, not a show. It is not intended to be such and such. Here you can enter and look at them. Here, you see. But notice the imagination. This is what it is our greatest art and architect of our mind. Referring to it, we recall a lot more images than any other gallery or museum could show us. It might be worth just a new era of exhibitions? Era exhibitions of his own imagination?
