There are a lot of research, philosophical and others are devoted to the Holy Scriptures. Wiser and less revealing, complex, and to be in place, functioning or not in our consciousness. Reaching for the "Reflections on the Psalms," and it aims at theological literature, after word reached Lewis. Because the author writes as if the whole world could be spread out on shelves and accurately classify.
What writes Lewis? About the psalms as the title indicates. Walk up to them not only as a Christian, but also as a lover of literature, which makes reading even more enjoyable. And Lewis writes in a very interesting way, sometimes comparing Jews to Christians, explaining, quote, thinking, philosophizing. If you like to read the Bible, especially the psalms, then this book will surely appeal to you.
However, not only of the psalms says Lewis. In the ordinary way only he, namely an interesting, sometimes funny and perceptive touches on history, culture, same religion associated not only with the psalms. He talks and shares with the reader's own discoveries, which result from frequent reading of the Bible.
And all that is written in a simple and understandable Lewis is not in the habit wymądrzać or throw up difficult vocabulary. He does not want to talk, he wants to speak to the reader.
Lewis already has that to himself, that for whatever it is about did not take, it always comes out it's great. Well, a genius born once every hundred years. I am glad that I have a chance to read his book.
